MISSION: OJI BOT

Explore the camp experience and choose the schedule that works best for you.

Ages 8+1 event

About this camp

This camp serves as a crash course in the engineering design process, through the lens of our mission to save “Oji Bot” from the unknown planet he is stranded on. Each activity is going to be another step towards our final goal, which will be launching a rocket to travel to the unknown planet and saving Oji Bot.

Apprentices will learn basic 3D modelling, programming, and electrical wiring skills, which they will demonstrate in a showcase on the last day of camp. They will…
  • 3D model their robot base in Tinkercad
  • Create a wiring diagram for the robot’s components in Tinkercad
  • Design an object detection program in the Arduino IDE
  • Utilize Micro:bit as a radio communications device
This camp is intended for apprentices ages 10+ and moves at a slower pace to accommodate younger apprentices with little to no programming or design experience. Extension activities are available for those who may move through the content faster, and this camp offers multiple opportunities for apprentices to expand their projects using their own creativity. Encourage apprentices to collaborate and share ideas to enhance the projects of the camp.
