Calling all young builders and creative minds! In this action-packed LEGO® Explore Boot Camp Series, kids will dive into a world of hands-on robotics, building challenges, problem-solving, and imaginative play. Each session will introduce exciting new themes, from constructing moving machines to exploring basic engineering and design concepts. Through teamwork and guided activities, campers will enhance their fine motor skills, creativity, and critical thinking—all while having tons of fun! Whether they’re budding engineers or first-time builders, this camp is the perfect place to learn, explore, and create with LEGO®!

Start with your brainpower and finish with a bang! In this physical computing camp, apprentices combine coding with a series of other STEM activities to bring their programming skills into action!

It’s all about connecting the digital world and the real world. The goal? Create a motion-sensor machine that can launch an object, play a game or simply say “hello”. To get there, apprentices will learn to code an Arduino microcontroller, and connect it to a device they’ve built using electrical engineering and fabrication skills. Come and see how far your skills can go – literally!

Kids will learn everything they need to know to turn a pile of parts into their very own customized voice assistant that they'll take home at the end of the week:

• Learn building skills such as soldering and parts assembly
• Code your voice assistant using Python
• Find out about the “internet of things”
• Fabricate your own 3D printed parts to personalize your new pal
• Solve problems and share ideas with other makers

Art history meets game strategy in this camp. Steamoji Junior Apprentices (ages 5-7) will invent and build their own art-inspired mini-games, merging artistic skills with critical thinking to combine the gallery with the game world. Every day is a creative bonanza where their imaginations set the scene and game design brings the structure, resulting in a collection of fun games that they’ve plotted and crafted themselves. From pens and markers to sculpting and LED lights, Apprentices will use classic and contemporary design principles as a springboard for their own unique artwork. It’s a place where math and art meet up to make magic. So – who’s ready to play?!

Push, pull, lift or flip your opponent's robot out of the arena to claim victory and become the Steamoji Robo Battle Master! In this week-long camp, you’ll combine a whole suite of STEAM skills to design, prototype, code and build your very own battle robot that will face off against your fellow campers at the end of the week.

You will learn:

• Coding - Code a Micro:bit microcontroller as the “brain” of your battle bot
• Engineering - Planning, prototyping, evaluating and improving
• 3D Printing - Use 3D design and printing to make additional components for your robot

Loops! Jumps! Hair-pin bends! What's the most exciting roller coaster you can imagine? Now come and come build it. In this camp, apprentices join a team of like-minded engineers to dream up, design and construct a twisty downhill run. They'll turn cardboard, paper, straws and other household materials into a roller coaster... for marbles! Apprentices will learn every step of the design process as they research, prototype, test and assemble their marble run. By the end of the week they'll have built a fascinating, gravity-defying structure, that combines creativity with their new engineering skills. Let's Get Building!

Incoming! In this camp, Apprentices will become engineers as they work in teams to build the strongest catapult and tallest tower that they can. To conquer the challenge, they'll learn about levers and mechanical advantage, building techniques and balance. As well as becoming masterful engineers, they’ll tap into their creative side and make colorful birds and mascots to launch from the catapult. On the last day, teams will face off to try and knock down their opponents' towers before their tower is tumbled, too!

Calling all robotics enthusiasts to join us for a week-long Vex IQ Robotics Competition Boot Camp this summer! Interested and committed campers will be invited to join the new Steamoji Vex IQ Competitive robotics team this fall. Apprentices ages 8-12 will be able to compete in designing, building and programming robots for different tasks. It's a fun and hands-on way to develop coding, engineering, robotics, and teamwork skills!

From sports to entertainment, apprentices will start each day with a new theme and follow their imaginations through a series of activities. They’ll use digital art skills and coding to create characters and stories in Scratch Jr., a visual programming language that gives kids their first taste of coding. From there, they’ll bring these characters into the real-world using principles of fabrication. Building mini games to designing graphics – it’s all about sparking ideas and using STEAM principles to tell stories. It’s time for bright ideas! In this camp, Apprentices will work with key STEAM skills to create their own RGB lamp. Using a combination of coding, 3D modeling, 3D printing, and circuit-building, they’ll plan, design, and build a creation straight out of their imagination. During this camp, they’ll take their builds all the way from a pen-and-paper concept to a fully functional light feature, which they can proudly bring home at the end of the week. Let’s get building!

Little inventors, it’s time to explore the amazing world of motion and machines! In this fun and hands-on week long camp, you’ll: Create simple gears, build a working clock (with some help!) and learn how it ticks, play with mechanical toys and learn how gears bring them to life, use your imagination to design your own moving creations. With plenty of guided activities and fun storytelling, this camp introduces young learners to the basics of gears and how they work—all while having a blast!

Take a deeper dive into the world of gears with this dynamic and challenging week-long camp for budding engineers. You will design, fabricate, and assemble a variety of gears, exploring how they transmit power and motion, build your own fully functional mechanical clock, work in small teams to tackle fun engineering challenges and design custom gear-driven machines, discover how gears are used in real-world applications like vehicles, robotics, and clocks.

This camp is perfect for curious learners ready to think critically, problem-solve, and apply their creativity to real engineering concepts.
