We offer a unique 400-hour structured and reinforcing STEM program.
What is steamoji?
A place for children to create
a sense of meaning and
master future-facing skills.
trains builders, makers, inventors and entrepreneurs.
Skill pathways
A new learning experience.
Technological change is accelerating. Many parents recognize STEAM subjects (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) are fundamental in preparing their children for the careers of the future, but see schools more focused on traditional studies. Steamoji’s 400-hour curriculum is designed to fill the gap in a structured and reinforcing fashion across each subject pathway. Students are taught basic skills, then encouraged to practically apply them in the spirit of “Build to Solve™”.

Why steamoji Works
Steamoji students will be ahead of the curve by gaining essential skills for the 21st-century while learning how to tackle their generation’s global challenges.
While there are other camps introducing STEAM concepts, there is no other
structured program like Steamoji which takes an elementary school child through
400 hours of reinforcing projects over a 5-year time period.

DIRECTOR OF South Surrey
Stephane Nicaise
Originally from France, Stephane is now a proud Canadian and father of two girls ages 5 and 7. After a rewarding career working for some of the world's leading business software companies, Stephane decided to scratch his entrepreneurial itch with Steamoji, a concept proudly started in BC that would leverage his experience in technology while forming a deep connection with the community.
Having witnessed firsthand the myriad of career opportunities the STEM fields can offer, and the passion a our kids can put into learning and creating, Stephane couldn't be more excited to work with families in South Surrey and White Rock to level up their skills. Let's get building!

It’s time for bright ideas! In this camp, Apprentices will work with key STEAM skills to create their own RGB lamp. Using a combination of coding, 3D modeling, 3D printing, and circuit-building, they’ll plan, design, and build a creation straight out of their imagination. During this camp, they’ll take their builds all the way from a pen-and-paper concept to a fully functional light feature, which they can proudly bring home at the end of the week. Let’s get building!

Start with your brainpower and finish with a bang! In this physical computing camp, apprentices combine coding with a series of other STEM activities to bring their programming skills into action!
It’s all about connecting the digital world and the real world. The goal? Create a motion-sensor machine that can launch an object, play a game or simply say “hello”. To get there, apprentices will learn to code an Arduino microcontroller, and connect it to a device they’ve built using electrical engineering and fabrication skills. Come and see how far your skills can go – literally!
STEAM Goes Medieval: Creating Castles & Catapults

Skills
Incoming! In this camp, Apprentices will become engineers as they work in teams to build the strongest catapult and tallest tower that they can. To conquer the challenge, they'll learn about levers and mechanical advantage, building techniques and balance. As well as becoming masterful engineers, they’ll tap into their creative side and make colorful birds and mascots to launch from the catapult. On the last day, teams will face off to try and knock down their opponents' towers before their tower is tumbled, too!
